    The repair of reservoirs in five different works areas:

    • Cribbs Causeway Flood Storage Reservoir
    • Tubbs Botton Flood Storage Reservoir
    • Bruton Flood Storage Reservoir
    • Curry Moor Flood Storage Reservoir
    • Westford Flood Storage Reservoir

    The project addressed issues highlighted by the flooding experienced on the Somerset Levels during the 2013/2014 winter.

    The works were a result of recommendations by the reservoirs engineer following the floods and included: sheet piled cut-off walls, reinforced concrete headwalls, strengthening of earth structures such as dam crests and spillways and re-alignment of watercourses.

    Whilst the construction activities were relatively straightforward the logistics of managing several remote sites concurrently were less so.
