    Tidal energy has potential to be a major growth area within the UK and Wales is intending to lead the way as Pembrokeshire moves closer to establishing a marine renewable energy centre around the Milford Haven waterway.

    Knights Brown carried out all onshore works for the Delta Stream research project, which comprised:

    • Construction of a temporary power conversion compound
    • Road and foundation construction
    • Fencing and conduit/ducting
    • Electrical works including cabling, shore line jointing connections and communications routing between shore and compound and within the conversion compound

    A 39ft high, 400KW turbine now stands on the site having provided essential learning, new knowledge, knowhow and experience to progress the tidal energy industry in Wales.
