    Site Engineer - South East Division

    We are looking for an experienced site engineer to join our busy airport project team, working on two civil engineering frameworks for Gatwick Airport Limited.

    As a site engineer your responsibilities will include:

    • Setting out, levelling and surveying, measurement using Total Stations and GNSS/GPS Survey Equipment
    • Checking of plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy
    • Quality assurance
    • Production of HSQE documentation including CPP, EQP, CQP, RAMS & ITPs
    • Supervision of labour and subcontractors
    • Attend site meetings
    • Purchasing/ordering of materials and plant
    • Completing company weekly returns
    • Maintaining good records – site diary, service encounters and as-builts
    • Correspondence and reporting in accordance with Knights Brown and GAL procedures
    • Liaising with all GAL staff and airport stakeholders

    Experience & Qualifications Required

    • Minimum three years construction experience in civil engineering
    • Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent NVQ
    • Competent user of all MS Office suite including MS Project and Powerpoint
    • CSCS card
    • IOSH environmental
    • First aid
    • Clean driving licence
    • NRSWA (C&G award) supervisor preferred
    • Proficient use of CAD preferred
    • Good understanding of European and British Standards

    • Good communicator at all levels, with ability to provide clear and unambiguous instructions
    • Good organiser of both self and others with ability to think and prepare in advance
    • Good people skills – mediation, management and motivation of people
    • Good problem solving

    • CRB check will be necessary and a minimum five years of UK work/study reference.
