We are looking to recruit an Estimator to join our growing team in Rochester.

This is a key position within an expanding division of Knights Brown, therefore you will be able to work within a strong estimating function and develop within your role.

The function is responsible for negotiating, securing orders and providing an effective handover of contracts post award. You will be working as a valued member of this team supporting the production of accurate tender bids, and will be involved in both the pre-construction and delivery phases.

Ideally we are looking for an individual with experience of working within a regional, or national civil engineering contracting business however we will also consider Graduates from a related degree with limited experience and lots of enthusiasm to learn.

Within the role you will be given the opportunity to learn about our projects.

In this role the role holder will work with the Senior Estimators to:

  • Deliver programmes and monitor forthcoming works.
  • Review tender estimates based upon optional construction methods, outputs, programmes and resource availability.
  • Review tender documents including terms, conditions, bonds, guarantees and warranties.
  • Prepare analytical tenders from Bills of Quantities, drawings and specifications for traditional, two stage and Design and Build projects for large tender offers for projects up to £10m.
  • Develop client relationships and partnerships with our suppliers.
  • Proactively communicate potential challenges or risk and provide recommendations and possible solutions.
  • Attend handover meetings and maintain continuous support across projects, liaising with our production team and contributing to the team environment.
