Commercial Assistant

An opportunity for a Commercial Assistant has risen within the business.  The role will be based at our Bridgend Office, reporting to the Commercial Manager.

Key Responsibilities of the role include the following:

  • Assist Commercial team with administration requirements
  • Ensure compliance with IMS
  • Support delivery of health and safety policies
  • Keep accurate records in respect to filing of contract documents, bonds, warranties, and any other commercial information as required.
  • Accurately collate monthly allocation sheets for projects from sites
  • Preparation of detailed monthly analysis of cost forecast information and entry into CPRM
  • Liaise effectively with commercial department in respect of collation and transfer of any information required. Assist in producing monthly reports
  • Assist in the preparation and issue of sub-contract orders
  • Assist in materials pricing and reconciliations
  • Ensure commercial deadlines are achieved
  • Liaise with subcontractors where required
  • Raising sundry payments / cheques
  • Scanning and saving documents to database
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and learn from others
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Drive for continual improvement and proactively consider improving processes
  • The ability to rigorously pursue information when required
  • Able to collate, analyse and report on commercial information
  • Able to build relationships across the business and work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to deal with a number of tasks to deadlines

 

REQUIREMENTS

Working within a small team you will be flexible, confidential and have strong communication skills. As a number of activities need to be closed out to a tight deadline you will be organised and able to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
