Construction of a tank workshop for the King’s Royal Hussars, the senior United Kingdom armoured regiment whose headquarters are located at Tidworth Camp.

This contract was the design and construction of a stand-alone workshop building providing five workshop lanes with a 10 tonne overhead crane.

A steel portal frame with masonry walls at low level to the workshop lanes and servicing and maintenance lanes, 3,100m2 floor area of power-floated slab and a two-storey office with insulated steel profiled cladding above. Sectional doors for tank access inspection pits for tank servicing.

Our workmanship was commended by Aspire, with the building being handed over without defects and prior to occupation by end user.

The stores building was built to the DREAM scheme, which is the MOD equivalent of BREEAM.

Malcolm & I would like to thank yourself and Guy for working with us and our design team in delivering a superb finished product for FloPlast that we are very proud of and which has been much admired by our customers on site visits.  So far so good, we are finding our operational feet on the site and it all appears to be working well.

The team at Knights Brown has done a fantastic job in creating the largest JLR Aftersales Centre in the UK, working alongside GEMCO Sales & Service who fitted out the facility to the highest standard. With 29 service bays in total, Dorset is now future-proofed for servicing the JLR product.

    - Mark Whittam, Group Operations Director (Marketing), Westover Group

Knights Brown was a great client to deal with. We felt from the very outset that they worked with us rather than for us, demonstrating real collaboration in order to minimise disruption to the port. The works were also delivered through a very challenging time, with the latter stages coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic. Their approach to this was thoroughly professional, with health and safety the primary consideration. Working practices were strictly amended and monitored, with the project completed to the satisfaction of all involved.
