This unique project physically and metaphorically links the previous Oakridge Infant and Junior School creating the new Oakridge Schools Federation.

The state-of-the-art extension increases capacity while adding a physical connection between what was two schools.

The new building that connects the two schools, aids pupil transition from infants to junior school supporting a much more secure educational journey from age four to 11. The new layout enables the school to site its year groups into sets of three classes enhancing delivery of the curriculum and building a more enriched learning environment.

The chair of governors at the Oakridge Federation, speaking at the opening celebration said: “To have a school offering such high standards of teaching and learning is of such significance to the community in this part of Basingstoke, and from September, more families than ever before will have access to this outstanding facility.”

The works comprised construction of a new build seven classroom extension and a standalone new build block and an extension to the junior school to create the link corridor.
