The coronavirus pandemic is challenging us all.

From the outset, we have sought to follow the latest advice from the UK Government and Public Health England and are cooperating with our employers and supply chain partners to keep working where we can do so safely, to get us all through this period of disruption.

We are continuing to support all customers with critical projects including Portsmouth International Port, Ministry of Defence, South Wales Trunk Road Agent, and Royal Berkshire and Avon fire and rescue services.

However, the reaction to the pandemic in this country and elsewhere, has already begun to impact on the construction industry and Knights Brown is being similarly affected, as we see partners in our supply chains sadly, but understandably, suspend operations.

We too, have specific contracts where the nature of the work has meant we have been unable to maintain guidance from Public Health England and the Construction Leadership Council on effective social distancing.

This is having a significant economic impact on us. At this most difficult of times, our thoughts are with our colleagues being directly affected by site closures, as we seek to plot a course through this crisis.

When the current situation has passed we look forward to a time when we can kick-start and rebuild. For now, we are focusing on the practical steps we can take to maintain core activities and our bid teams are continuing to price and submit tenders in anticipation of that.

We will endeavour to update you again as the situation unfolds.

With the best wishes of all at Knights Brown.
