Listening to communities is at the heart of effective community liaison. It's not just explaining what you're going to do. It's also about listening to what people tell you and being flexible enough to make modifications where you are able. It's a little bit of give and take.

We understood that the success of the project would be highly dependent on the effective management of the public including local residents. Our project manager served as our designated stakeholder liaison officer.

We were unable to lead our stakeholder engagement activities personally due to coronavirus restrictions so instead, adopted digital communications to connect remotely. This proactive response allowed us to share information and effectively engage the public.

Pendennis Shipyard Ltd had identified a need to service yachts while they were afloat. However, the shipyard was located in a Special Area of Conservation and they had a busy order book. The challenge was to find a solution that could be built efficiently while protecting the precious habitat.
